So... I am receiving my catless dp this week however I'm afraid to put it on with the factor exhaust for obvious reasons. It'll sound like it has a fart can at all times. Can't have that on a 10th gen Si.... Does anyone know which resonator/ muffler combination that will take away the raspy ricey sound? I've heard used a glasspack in place of the stock resonator. But I want to see what everyone else has to say. I'm not looking for a catback because I think a custom setup can achieve a better sound. So if anyone has a catless setup please chime in and tell me what resonator muffler combination u went with. Thanks ladies and gentlemen.

Most aftermarket exhaust will have a thick packed resonator to absorb the rasp which even stock exhaust fails to absorb.

Try to find a type r exhaust locally

I have catless rv6, no resonator, and a vibrant muffler and I love the sound. Much quieter than I expected, I had originally planned on getting a vibrant resonator also. For reference I live in a elder community and don’t get any looks when driving by. Only drone is letting off throttle at 4k rpm to 3k. I’ve also seen multiple hks and type r recommendations for catless peeps.

Try to find a type r exhaust locally

im gonna try and get a vibrant muffler and keep the stock resonator... see if the raspyness goes away. now i just have to source the right muffler.

If your factory exhaust is untouched then a downpipe will sound great, if you did the ricer muffler and resonator delete on your factory exhaust then the downpipe will sound like shit
