My Enkei ts-v’s are being installed Friday and I’ve narrowed my tire choices down to 3. My top choice is the falken azenis fk510 in 275/35r18. The other choices are Michelin all season 4 in 265/35r18 or Michelin ps4s in 255/40r18. These are what’s in stock and my main goal is best traction for acceleration (1/4 mile racing) while still being ok with the occasional rain. I’ve seen people run 275 ps4s on an et40. The falken has a section width of 11.1 and tread width of 9.8 if that helps.
My question is will it rub at stock height? Thank you.

I wouldn't run an A/S if 1/4 mile traction was my main concern, but how come you didn't list the PS4S in 265/35 or 275/35? That would be my choice out of the 3 tires listed.

I originally went with the as4 in 265 because of price point and great reviews. The ps4s were out of stock in that size. I’m going to call and see the wait time for the ps4s but the falken is enticing.

Look at the Yokohama Advan Apex V601. Similar to the PS4S but much more affordable. Available in a 265/35.

How’s traction in 1st and second compared to the stock setup? Looks great btw!
Thanks. Better than stock setup. Better tire/compound. More contact patch.

The ps4s won’t be in stock till late April unfortunately. I was able to get ahold of the falken azenis fk510 in 265/35r18 so it should check all my boxes. Thanks for the advice on avoiding the A/S, the reviews were great but that’s for an A/S tire.

I do like that tire a lot. I was able to get the falken azenis fk510 for $194 a tire, still cheaper than the as4 with $70 off.

I had 18x9.5 +40 and those Michelin all season in 265/35 lowered 1 inch. I absolutely had the space to run a 275, I would definitely go for the 275 as that tire runs a little skinny. I still have the those tires and they almost look a bit stretched.

The falken in 265 runs the same width as the as4 in 275, so that’s nice. How’s traction under acceleration with the A/S tires?

I'm in the Northwest and we just went through the cold months so it was my only reason for an all season tire. Great traction in the rain, great traction while cold, and decent performance now that it is warming up (Full Bolt Ons pro tuned). I'd go a summer tire if it doesn't go below 44 degrees in your area though. I will probably be throwing something sticky in the front for the summer.

I do have them and I do not think they are louder than other 200 TW tires IMO
