It's because the converter was so close to the turbine wheel. Better for emissions, worse for flow.

Whats the gain? About 7whp by removing the cat itself? No re-tune yet?

Remove the Cat only can get around 20 HP gain without re tune.

Are you using 4th gear on dyno runs?
Can you post all 6 gear ratio and final drive?
Why do you put tcf 15%. For manual transmision tested on hubs should be 7-8%.

Yes we use 4th gear to dyno run.

I don't have the gear ratio for this MT.

The dyno is not belong to me :) all is setup by the dyno shop. Here is why they put tcf 1.15:

http://www.dynapackusa.com/vehicle.htm
TC Factor - allows user to enter a driveline loss factor (Transmission Correction) to add a percentage of power to the flywheel power graphs. A factor of 1.0 adds no correction factor, a factor of 1.15 would add a 15% correction factor to the flywheel numbers. Axle (rear wheel) numbers are not effected by the TC Factor box.

I believe the only difference is that Thailand (and possibly other asian countries) 1.5T motor has VTEC and ours does not. Please correct me if I'm wrong carfun.

The different is China piston: 73 x 89mm and Thailand one is 73 x 89.5 mm
Compression ratio is same 10.6:1

There is no Vtec for 1.5T all over the world. They call it VTC (Variable Timing Control) to make ppl think still have vtec :)

Impressive power out of that 1.5T motor - any thoughts of throwing on a Quaife LSD to put down all that power?

At the moment no LSD release from any company yet.. For Quaife, don't like much, damage few for different cars before. Cusco LSD still best.
