My original tire size is 215/50R17 and I'm thinking to upgrade it to wider tire while keeping the stock rim. But, I have been juggling if I should go for 225/45R17 or 225/50R17 or 235/45R17 and here are my concerns:

225/45R17 - Sidewall height - Reduced by 0.25", which mean the car's bottom clearance will be dropped by 0.5" and my car be too low?

225/50R17 - Sidewall height - Raised by 0.25, and the car will be raised about 0.5" and will it affect any fuel economy as a result of aerodynamic.

235/45R17- On the tire comparison result, it looks perfect as it doesn't change the height of sidewall but I wonder if it will fit my stock rim without overstretch? Also, will scratch the front fender as the tire's width increased by 20mm?
