I drove the red civic at the track to preserve my prize at the recommendation of the Honda team.
It's unfortunate Honda's marketing didn't do a better job of showing this. The 6 speed comment was relayed messaging from a comment I read on Reddit as to why there was no footage of the track experience, sounds like that comment wasn't accurate, apologies.

Did you actually make a donation to the Omaze competition to obtain more entries for the Type R raffle, or did you do a no contribution-entry? Just curious since your story makes me feel like I should be signing up for more Omaze giveaways

I entered the contest as well. I would have done the same if I had won, but I would have then turned around and bought a higher number LE at close to MSRP. Car, cash and not have to worry about hurting it. It is a sin to not drive them, but it is number 1...almost a sin to drive it.

Your plan was exactly why I bought four of them and have two left after selling two of the four.

Not at all a sin to avoid driving them if your hobby is to collect.

May sell a third, but not sure yet. Kinda leaning towards keeping one locked up and enjoying the other.

Thank you. I was very fortunate to have the opportunity to do so.
