Looks nice but not interested if it doesn't come in hatchback.

I liked the Elantra GT Nline a lot but prefer the Si, even the Sport. It needs more than just a stiff suspension and aggressive tires, the chassis doesn't compare to the Civic. Since this Elantra is a newer gen, and they get better with each gen, it could be a big winner. I don't think it needs an LSD if the N is also available and around $30k (not $36k).I agree with you w/o an LSD they don't have much competition... Except they offer an auto. But I LOVE how aggressive this car is, I can't wait for the N
Hatchback already exists in N-Line form, unless you mean the N. They really need to bring that, although it seems we'll get the Kona N, which is much less practical (tiny trunk).Looks nice but not interested if it doesn't come in hatchback.
Isn't that the previous generation hatch that came out a few years ago?Hatchback already exists in N-Line form, unless you mean the N. They really need to bring that, although it seems we'll get the Kona N, which is much less practical (tiny trunk).
The GT debuted in 2018. It's presumably getting refreshed for 2021 like the i30 it's based on. Hyundai doesn't seem to be shipping any of them, at least the 6MT, haven't seen a new one show up in months.Isn't that the previous generation hatch that came out a few years ago?
Hyundai has a lot going for it right now. I would be really eager to drive it and test it out.
So f*$&kin stupid and shortsighted on their part. The i30 is one of their best overall vehicle lines.Another hatchback bites the dust. Hyundai killing off the Elantra GT from US market. Guess that means no i30N either, not surprised but disappointing.
But at least we get a really ugly sedan as consolation.

I can imagine it doesn't sell very well though, and it's so similar to the GTI which is only slightly more with the huge discounts. Most people probably either buy the Kona or they buy something else like a GTI or Civic hatch. It's also a bit smaller than the Civic so that may have hurt sales. So f*$&kin stupid and shortsighted on their part. The i30 is one of their best overall vehicle lines.
Yes, I think an Si hatch is very likely, since hatch sales have far exceeded expectations. With the demise of the Elantra GT hatch, Kia dropping the Forte5 in the US and the addition of the Mazda 3 turbo hatch, Honda might find a great niche releasing an 11th gen Si hatch. I know I would be all over that.
My gut feeling is it will happen.
$27k is probably the DSG w/ tech package if it's like the Elantra GT NLine.Elantra N-Line "released". No LSD? Also 27k (not confirmed) https://www.motortrend.com/news/202...st-look-review/amp/?__twitter_impression=true
