i hear ya man, i dont have a Type R so im looking for the flat bottom steering wheel. plus i can get the 2020 type r wheel for 258 shipped, instead of 390.
If you’re planning on getting the color combo that is stock, going OEM will always be cheaper than getting a custom part. The CTR wheel is flat bottom, but the flat bottom portion isn’t too big.

Edit: note that you can also get a third party wheel as well. Some leather ones that are flat bottom run around 200 on EBay. You’d need to offer that price though as they normally run 250.

Want to make sure I understand this correctly, I ordered a 2020 type r shift knob and i own a 2018. Do I need to order the acuity Shift Boot Collar Upgrade (Satin Red Aluminum Finish) for it the shift knob to sit at the right height ? I might also get rid of the leather shift boot and get the nice upgrade in the 2020 . Want to make sure it worth it to spend 40 bucks on this Shift Boot Collar Upgrade (Satin Red Aluminum Finish)

It all depends on how tall the locking nut that comes with the Acuity is on the upper side. On the new 2020 lock nut there is barely anything there (see the attached, albeit out of focus photo, there is barely any lip on the nut). The lip is shown with the green line in the second image of the stock lock nut. That said, looking on the Acuity, it looks to be similar in height to the Si lock nut of the setup I have right now (2020 lock nut + ⅛" spacer) which actually has it sitting pretty low to begin with. It can go lower, and I personally prefer it lower but it's not bad in this position by any means IMO.

Also keep in mind that the 2020 shift knob was designed to work on the new shifter that also drops the shift knob height by another ½", so even with just the proper lock nut, collar, and knob, you're technically still a little high from "where it should be". Which sends me to the last caveat, the height it "should be" depends entirely on the driver ;) Some like it slightly longer, some want it as short as possibly possible. I've done this with one of my Razo shift knobs and it was not a fun experience :p The only thing I do know is that I really don't recommend the 2020 shift knob with the stock locking nut for 2017-2019. The Acuity will improve it over that forsake :D

Honda has not fixed the issue with the 2020 shift boot yet. It is under investigation by Honda. 2017-2019 boots are shipping in the 2020 part numbered box.

The steering wheel is backordered at Honda. I've ordered it 3 times in the last two weeks just to have it canceled.

I saw your post but I'm not worried about it. Its on them to fix it and I got time, no rush.
The order is suppose to come in next week :dunno:

Anyone ordered/installed the new 2020 front grill on a 17-19 car? I got the price from my local dealership and plan on ordering soon.

I saw that the 2020 grill pretty much shifts the horizontal bar that holds the H logo up and takes the space of the intake slits on pre-'20 grills. Is the 2020 intake feed designed differently and would this hurt a pre-'20?

Just called for an update and they are on back order. They said it could be a wait as long as 2 months+. :hmm:
