Anyone ever get bored with modding? I sure don't!

Maxima D2S projectors w/ E30 clear lenses, Bi-Xenon and curved shield conversion, Denso ballasts and Osram CBI bulbs. Didn't come out 100%, being my first retrofit, but man is the light output and quality insane! Pictures just don't do justice.

@NHCivicGuy where did you get these parts to do this retro fit. Do you have links? The out put on those lights already look amazing in pictures. Thanks in advance.

The projectors I got off eBay, they are from a 2009+ Nissan Maxima. I also got the Denso to 9006 male input adapters and Nokya 9005 Yellow high beam bulbs there too.

The relay harness, 9006 high-beam splitter and 9006 male wire adapters I got from TRS.

The butyl sealant, CBI bulbs, bulb cover and the thermal epoxy to pot (waterproof) the Denso ballasts I got from Amazon.

I'm apart of a group on Facebook called Headlight Junkies and sourced the e30 lenses, Denso ballasts and Bi-Xenon conversion from a few members on there. Actually one of the admins is the one that did the Bi-Xenon conversion and fine tuning for me.

You don't have to go with the Bi-Xenon conversion and I am sure the output wouldn't be as good (due to the curved cutoff shield with the conversion), but it still would be very nice. The blue cutoff line was achieved by adding two washers to each bottom leg of the projector lens holder.

If you did want Denso ballasts but didn't want to waterproof them yourself, I could always pickup a set, waterproof and sell them to you since I have extra epoxy. Just PM me.

I know to some it seems like a lot, but in all honestly it only ran me about $320 for everything all in, including the Krylon Fusion paint I used to paint the headlights black. That is actually less than the full Mini H1 retroquik kit I was originally going to go with. OEM > Aftermarket all day for me.

Made some ramps and did her first oil change. Loaded up with some Mobil 1- couldn’t beat the $13 price after rebate.

For the ramps, I made them using a 2”x10”x14’ for $18. For each ramp there is a 31”, 24”, 16” and finally a small piece at the end to prevent from accidentally driving over. Used about seven 2.5” star-bit deck screws to hold each ramp together. Turned out awesome with plenty of clearance. I even have two 13” boards left in case I need to raise it up one more level ever.

Are you still happy with those horns you installed. Do you have a link for the harness' you used?

Only have had to use it a few times but it definitely is louder! I actually got the horns and the wire harness as a kit from College Hill Honda that they sell. They do sell the wire harness separately too if you go a different horn route.

Si and Type-R only (dual horn)-

Couple, Sedan, Hatchback (single horn)-

Wire harness alone-

Purchasing came 1-2 months sooner than I had planned, but when the right deal came along I had to pounce on it.

Purchased and took delivery today of a 2019 Si in Aegean Blue with 7 miles on it. Just arrived at the dealer and didn’t even have time to post pictures online. Had them throw in all weather mats and ceramic coating in the deal for free.

Snow is starting to creep in, but figured I’d share the obligatory dealer pic.

Acuity Throttle spacer and Morimoto MH1 projectors already in hand, just waiting on some Acuity goodies and the Type-R shifter for a spring project.

On a side note- anyone who took delivery of a 2019 Si, did yours come with the Easter Egg rubber center console mat? Mine didn’t, but dealer is ordering it and will get me it. Was curious on others.

Mine came with the easter egg I believe, I'll double check for you though. Sounds like the dealer must've taken it for himself or something

Yeah apparently they never installed them in the car or something. I went back and spoke to sales guy and he gave me a generic one. Ended up going to parts desk and they gave me the legit one. It’s funny because the parts guys had no clue until just a few weeks prior of me going in.

Been a few weeks since I posted anything, but have had a few more mods done..

Ceramic tint, chrome delete and window visors installed.

Used VVivid vinyl for the chrome delete, along with some vinyl tools to help with install.

The visors are from CuztomTuning and are really great quality and fitment. They truly feel and look OEM Honda, they even have clips! I did replace the adhesive though, wasn't taking a chance. I used 3M 06388, but you can probably get by just fine with 3M 06384. Not as "strong" but should be so much better than the generic 3M most come with anyways.

Added a rear window spoiler, which I also got from CuztomTuning.

Paint had some defects, so I ended up painting it and clearing it with SprayMax 2K clear. Wet sanded and polished it after- it came out really well!

Prepped the bottom side with 3M adhesion promoter and applied the tape I used for the window visors before. I left a larger gap than I probably should have towards the roof- I didn’t want to rub the paint being too close. Worst case I could always redo it if I needed to get it a little closer.

Had a cheaper windshield sun shade from a previous vehicle that wasn’t doing the trick for this car (too small). So I ordered this one and the fitment and quality is spot on. Pricey, but worth it in my eyes now that I’ve held it in person.

Yupp, pretty much anything 0W-20 synthetic will do. I’ve always used Mobil 1 and you can’t beat the price after rebates.
