Thoughts and looking for feedback: by no means new modifying cars, but new to "new car modifying". Other cars include 2001 ITR and 1975 2JZ 280Z. My background is more on AEM EMS and Haltech.

FC3:
- Bone Stock
- Ambient Temp 15C
- Elevation ~650ft
- Gas, ridiculous mixture (5L to 8L of shell 91 + 17L of shell 87 (4 year of my FC4 on 87 lol), 20L Sunoco 94 (oh crap, drive across the street to balance out)

Ktuner:

- Software is extremely glitchy on setup and locking ecu. Took about 4-5 tries after registering to get the actual software
- Another 4 to 5 tries to lock my ECU to the Ktuner
- No power saving mode was on and hotspot was approx 50Mbps up/down
- Wish it was USB C lol, I guess everyone feels the same way lol

Pherable Stage 1.5 Tune:

- Pretty happy with it, car drives great
- Left everything as was sent, rev hang still on, no advanced VSA
- No logs, it said it was logging but I still needed to enable record, my bad still getting used to the software
- Boost Target 1 (~19.5) was getting 21psi, Boost Target 2 (~21psi) was getting 24psi. Chose not to try map 3, until I'm running a tank of 94
- Watching realtime on my laptop : Knock, highest I saw was 0.53 on 24psi
- Knock count total = 4, from all my testing between boost target 1 and 2
- Wish I had the ability to raise my idle to 800RPM, didn't want the race map as I'm sure its just more timing.

I will have to do some recorded logging at some point.

Questions:

- Advanced VSA, what's everyone running ? Is the stock VSA pulling timing, even if it's not flashing (no wheel spin 3rd-4th gear) is that why my knock is so good ?
- Ktuner fitment on to OBD port ? Horrible fitment, feels like its half way on at best, not impressed at all. Is that normal ?
- Does Ktuner have any plans to fix the Revhang for the 2020 Civic Si ?

As always any feedback appreciated. Thanks

If you read the description it says rev hang is on by default for 2020 only. Disable rev hang yourself in the ktuner parameters and upload the tune with the updated change and it should work.

From Pherable:

Revhang:
On 2020 civic si's using any tune on ktuner having revhang turned off can cause an intermittent throttle response issue between shifts.
Revhang is enabled by default on our stage 1.5 calibration without god mode for 2020 civics.

Not looking to have intermittent issues.

That sucks. Does tsp have the same issue?

That should be improved by adjusting throttle padding and response via the KTuner software.

A bit of trial and error but try padding at medium and response at Improved I and see if that smooths things with rev hang off.

Based on Pherable wording I assume anything with a Ktuner as he says " 2020 civic si's using any tune on ktuner"

That should be improved by adjusting throttle padding and response via the KTuner software.

Will give it a try, thanks for the suggestion.

Does soft or medium add more padding? The term soft suggests less padding than medium but it feels like "high"

Some random log screenshots, next up I'll try a tank of shell 91, but I expect it will suffer in the summer heat. I plan to run Sunoco 94 during June to September months and Shell 91 the rest of the year

Yeah, I have changed from medium padding to normal padding with throttle response I. Medium padding I could still feel some Hang. With Standard padding, it's still there but very minimal.

Next I will try Normal padding with Throttle Response II. Curious what @KTuner considers the closest response to 1:1 like a cable Throttle Body
