Anyone running the 2020 shift knob with a Mugen or HR short shifter?
I am with the HR shifter. This will be my permanent set up. I had the Mugen knob previously and I felt I had to be forceful to get the shifter out of gear. With the 2020 knob, it is much smoother.

A good bit heavier than stock 2017 knob. Shape for me feels better than the standard sphere. I'm a fan.
I personally prefer the traditional ergonomic shift knobs, but no one seems to use them anymore. They're all ball knobs and then you have aftermarket knobs that are so "non-functional", I can't understand wtf the point is. *shrug*.

This is what I drive every day - Eaton-Fuller 10-speed.

A little late, but have you looked at the 27Won shift knob?

Can anyone confirm if the shift knob replacement on an actual 2020 CTR is the same as a 17-19? Wanting to update my install instructions for the leather knob and want to confirm there are not any odd differences in the new 2020 face lift.

The retaining collar that snaps onto the locking nut has changed for sure. The 2017-19 collar will not work with the new locking nut. I believe the new retaining collar should work with the old locking nut, but it may sag maybe â…›". But I won't be able to confirm this until the actual shift boot comes in ? Honda Parts screwed up by sending everyone who ordered a 2020 shift boot a 2019 one, so still waiting on that entire thing to get resolved.

Thanks for the info, keep me updated. If anyone with a 2020 CTR is in Vegas, hit me up. Would like to take a look for myself.

I have the 2020 knob with the 17-19 boot and Hybrid Racing collar. I have the 2020 lock nut, waiting for Honda to fix their mistake with the 2020 boot. They are aware of the screw up, just waiting for their action plan.

The instructions with changing out to an aftermarket knob will be the same between 17-19 and 20. Both have a shift collar on the boot that clips onto the lock nut.

The counterweight is inside the 2020 shift knob (90g heavier than 2017-2019 shift knob).
