My issues with this were 99% resolved when they replaced the head unit. The replacement had a newer firmware version on it (at least), so yeah it's most likely a software issue. Why they don't just update firmware, rather than replacing the unit is beyond my pay grade, but...aside from a very occasional issue (which is corrected with a reboot), it has been working way, way better than before.Yeah I tried this first and three other cables with no success...
Yup - this too...
Finally last night another re-boot with no wifi or BT with a cold front moving in and the front and rear windows open 2" worked.
