So who's gonna buy this to see if it'll fit the other years? Now we can all stop buying the Type R one finally? lol I mean it LOOKS like it's gonna fit...

71502-TGG-A70 $82.62 Diffuser
71509-TGG-A70 $9.17 Cover finisher below it
71521-TGG-A70 $25.10 Right bumper extension
71526-TGG-A70 $25.10 Left bumper extension

I don't think the extensions are needed. I'm gonna have to go look at the 2020 in person.

UPDATE 10/20/2019: Installed finally. Remove rear bumper, it's seriously faster. Just do it. Cover finisher fits with ~1/4" gap if you have the Invidia R400 exhaust. Tabs may be hard to clip back together. Otherwise the piece is nice. Bumper extensions are not needed.

I love how cheap the parts always are when they first come out. Get them now because as more people buy these parts the prices will soar. The original sport diffuser was this cheap and by the time I was ready to buy it it was almost $300 new! Type R steering wheels were $90 and now are around $250. Buy now, don't wait.

Those part numbers appear to be the 2017-2019 numbers... I searched a bit but I don't think 2020 part listings have been released yet. We should keep this thread alive to update once their available.. From the pics I've seen the rear diffuser look good, but I think I'll have to see it in person.

Lets see if this pic works from an autotrader listing.

I still like the design of the Type R diffuser better. The shape is more aggressive and gives some serious looks to the rear.

I need to replace the diffuser on my '18 sport. This looks like a less costly option. Anyone know if these pieces come painted? For that matter do the '18 ones come painted?

Just installed mine yesterday. I only got the diffuser and the finisher. Skipped the left and right extensions. The diffuser is painted gloss black. The finisher is not painted, and probably not supposed to be. Direct swap. Very easy to do. About an hour on the ground without removing the bumper.

I believe they go here in this big empty spot, left and right sides:

Weird thing is, the original also had the same wide open spot. The new one has extra clip holes to secure those pieces. They are not visible unless you look under the car.

Did you buy it at a local dealership or online? If online just wondering what you paid for shipping. I'm looking at it right now and shipping is only $15. Weird thing is the old one is about $350 plus $150 shipping. This new one is $60 plus $15 shipping.

Also, a little tip for you DIYers out there. When you remove the old diffuser, A LOT of rocks and debris will fall out of the bumper.

Once you have it off and before you put the new diffuser on, bang on the bumper a few times to clear out more of the debris. Anything left over will sit on the new diffuser and may scratch the gloss black paint during install. Ask me how I know. Luckily, a little rubbing compound took care of it.

As a precaution, I’d protect the contact edge of the new diffuser with painter’s tape.

Local dealer. Be wary of that shipping cost. It might jump unexpectedly. It’s a pretty wide part. And it didn’t come in a box.
