2020 civic si door will sometimes open

As the title says my car will only open from the outside sometimes. The car is unblocked but for some reason i pull the handle and it wont open first try sometimes second try sometimes 6th.

This happens when the engine is off. I thought it might have been due to the door handle button being disconnected but I reconnected and same problem never opens first try

Just the driver. Opens from the inside first try but the outside can be second try or not open at all i have to hop in from the passenger side

You mean the lock/unlock button? Was it actually disconnected? Or do you mean the pull handle?

Is the door not unlatching to open when you pull the handle and have to pull it a few times OR is the door not unlocking when you put your hand under the handle?
