Hello
I have a 2020 civic EX I just bought wheels from tire rack and they told me that I would have no problems however they have a 45 offset and that seems pretty big or small I guess.
these are what i ordered:
https://www.tirerack.com/wheels/enkei-performance-edr9-black-painted

Does anyone know if this will be a problem should I cancel my order?

Factory Si wheels have a +50 offset, +45 is barely further sticking out, i routinely see people here run +35 offset, which sticks out more, though i cant vouch for that number with clearance issues. I see no problem with a +45 offset, basically the closer to 0 you are, the closer to dead center the mounting surface is on the wheel when looking at it from straight ahead. Think of a 18 wheeler wheel. if the wheel is bulging out and flat on the outside, thats a positive offset, while a dished wheel, where the wheel looks like its a big bowl your looking down in, thats a negative offset.
your Backspacing is that 50 / 45 number were talking about

Cool thank you I used to work at tire shops and put custom wheels on all the time and I could not remember and then when I was looking up nothing makes sense to me I think I've gotten dumber over the years but thank you for explaining explaining.

OP, your stock wheels are +45. You're 100% golden.

Looks same as stock to me. You'd have to get some good air to rub and probably have other concerns after such a launch. Here is completely stock on mine. Looks about same in gaps.

Like I said earlier, you're fine. No way you'll rub.

Just out of curiosity, what size wheels and tires did you go with?

Wheels: https://www.tirerack.com/wheels/enkei-performance-edr9-black-painted
  • Size: 17x7(Factory Diameter)
  • Offset: +45mm
Tires: https://www.tirerack.com/tires/continental-extremecontact-dws-06-plus

  • Continental EXTREMECONTACT DWS 06 PLUS, SIZE: 215/50ZR17
Also I just drove it about 12 miles on him in this city. Pretty nice a little little bit louder than I thought but not bad at all definitely satisfied with the purchase. I wish that they were lighter weight though. This combo is one and a half pounds heavier than stock. And I was trying to go lighter. However the wheels themselves are probably 3 pounds lighter than the stock wheels.

Ok, just 100% double checking. That's exactly the same as stock (diameter, offset, width). No issues at all and great choice of tire. They're amazing.

The DWS06+ run a little wide. Still wouldn't be worried about rubbing with those wheel/tire specs.

I have the DWS06+ in 245/40r18 and they are wider than the 255/35r18 summer tires I had on a different set.

Yeah only got 18 miles on them so far but I do like the tires however I did expect to lose at least 2 pounds on each wheel instead of gaining a pound and a half. Other than that everything‘s fine except maybe the tires are slightly louder than I expected.
