Pop! Not the sound you want to hear from your sunroof when you are trying to close it before a thunderstorm.
It would still move but not automatically close or tip up the rear edge. I had to eyeball it's movements from outside the car to judge when it sealed up.
Fortunately I have an extended warranty that payed for replacement of everything mechanically related to moving the glass panel around. (Est. 600$ in parts plus about a day and a half dealership labor)
Four hours after picking the car up and all seems well. I did notice that the raise/lower /tilt mechanism is different and very similar to the mechanism in the 2021 CRV loaner.
I guess they changed the design.

P.S. Yes they tried resetting the stops, no joy.
