I might wait to see what kind of Black Friday deals the retrofit source will have and get the morimotos then unless there is a Halloween sale!

Thanks

I just changed my under 15mins without remove bumper

Me too, I took a plastic panel popper to get it started and then used a very small flat head screwdriver to push the tabs down. 5 minutes and 3 screws, snap the cover back on, and you're rollin.

I bought the new "2019" LED fog lights from college hills Honda for my 2018 si sedan:

https://www.collegehillshonda.com/product/08V31-TBA-100H.html

Part number: 08V31-TBA-100H

They ended up being drop in replacements!

Warning, you do need to remove the bumper to do this proper, I followed this guy's video the first time, but after 5+ removals, I know it by memory, ez:

My advice: take your time - it is easy to break the tabs on the upper part of the bumper under the headlights (I have now broken 2 on the same side - fortunately, the bumper stays in place just fine without them).

I would suggest getting a set of low profile ramps, it makes removing the push pins and bolts under car a total fucking breeze. These are the new ones I got today as I have learned my lesson too many times:

https://www.google.com/shopping/pro...PErlzkYRBJIf2GZhnU0RMV9DxAzr_JzBoC-FAQAvD_BwE

ALSO, get yourself some rubber work gloves so you don't fuck up your paint nor get fingerprints everywhere:

https://www.amazon.com/AMMEX-GPNB46...coding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=FBH5YWPW3QBNANSAH3CS

Once the bumper is off, you need to remove the fugly honeycomb faux vent things from the back side of the bumper. Use a plastic pry tool and TAKE YOUR TIME. I did and didn't break anything nor scratch anything. Once removed, clean it up and swap the new fogs, they are drop in replacements. Snap the tie mount into the back of the bumper near the fog light, tie down the connector socket, and put every thing back together (don't forget to plug your new fog lights in).

They look real nice with the depo/type r/touring led headlights.

All done. Pics below.

Sweet! I think I’m going to let someone else do it though. Lol. Can’t I just replace with led bulbs?

Whoa . I’m afraid of screwing it up.

Probably. But remember that the original OEM fog light housing was designed for halogens... you may dazzle oncoming traffic with a bulb replacement.

Many folk on this thread have removed the bumper panel things without removing the bumper, so swapping to the OEM led fogs is probably a much easier process than what I did with the whole bumper removal.

Has anyone with a standard sedan(non si etc) replace their halogen fogs with the newer led fogs? I am wondering about the fit. Are they smaller than the halogens and have the same fitment issues as the morimoto. I cannot decide on which to get.
Looking to see a good photo with the upgrade with the Honda led fogs
Thanks

From what I have seen, these are drop in replacements. The si and the non-si cars (with the fog option) shared the same parts.

Has anyone tried making this replacement on a trim with Honda sensing? I need to replace the fog light glass cover on the driver's side of my 2018 Sport Touring, which I believe is the side with the Honda sensing unit. Ideally I'd like to pry the cover out without removing the front bumper but I'm not sure if the Honda sensing hardware being there will complicate things for me.

In my owners manual for my EX-T on page 540 it says how to replace the fog lights but doesn’t mention taking the bumper off. Is it possible with these instructions?

I picked up the Morimoto XB LED for my 2020 Si and they did not work. Provided clip which the cables slide into did not match the factory plug and lights would not power on when inserting the 2 Morimoto cables into the factory plug. Not sure what the deal was. Called Morimoto and they had no answers.
