MSR..... hahahahahahhahahahaha, buffoons

still think scca should give priority to people who have qualified with 2 national events to make sure they get a chance to reg first, Then say the next day (or whenever) open it up for all

I think something like that is hard to qualify people for. I have done 0 national events this year so far, but I have like 4 National events signed up in like the next 5 weeks.

The only thing is really broken is MSR. IMO if you are "srs bzns" enough you can win the F5 races if there is actually a F5 race to win. Me and my codriver signed up for Bristol double when neither one of us are in US. While our friend here didn't make the Match and is on the waitlist....

At anyrate I actually made it in during the clusterf*ck yesterday...20 people in DS already.

From what I remember last year everybody on the wait list made it in -- there tend to be a lot of dropouts. The event may be at capacity or close, but they create a land rush mentality needlessly.

Well also the call for a limit was stemming from the super long day1 last year that ran into the night. And the immediate overreaction was we had too many people. But I think the reality was it was pretty much an impossible situation when you had the weather we got and the delays we've had. Plus not helping having the Roadkill asshats acting as rolling event delays.

They already do that. This year i got a tear 1 registration because i placed 2nd in my class. it was open jun 18th for people that won their class or were 2nd last year. it can be done but thats only a small percentage of the 1300 people that wana go.

Tier 1 was as Mike said, 1st and 2nd from actual trophy classes, 25 years participants, 100 percenters, and I think event chiefs. Stuff like that is pretty clear cut and easy to tier for though.

An hour in and ~1,100 entries. May not cap out today but I wouldn't bet on it.

DS has 52 already, GS 44, HS 28...

Type R actually looks to be the most popular car in class...

as much as people complain about the rules I think people are just getting sick of owning and building ST cars. SP, and mod cars are also slowly disappearing... Street is simple, affordable and livable. Not to mention a lot of the cars in these classes people actually want to own!

Also, Street (or I guess Stock) cars that are being built today aren't nearly as compromised as they were 20 or even 10 years ago. Look at a 2009 Mustang or Civic compared to their 2019 counterparts, for example. The newer cars are a lot closer to decent AX cars right out of the box.
