As someone who had an STI pre kids, and then played the musical car game figuring out what was “practical”.
just find a 2000s Buick lesabre or Toyota Camry, and drive that with the kids in it.
The money you would pay for one of these types of daily driver cars Is worth way more than trading or selling a car you love for something. This way you will also have a beater point A to B car for poor weather.
That’s what I did. I have my 2020 Si that drives on nice days, and then there is my Crystler Sebring that has the car seats for poor weather or if I need to take the kids anywhere. I will say it is odd when I’m in the Sebring trying to remember that I don’t need to worry about where to park it.
