2019 Honda Civic Type R #21384 -- Championship White $35,000

21,489+ miles (my daily with a short commute) with all service (oil changes) records -- One-owner California car that was purchased in December 2018 at Valley Hi Honda in Victorville, CA. It was broken in properly (is there such a thing?) and is constantly garage-kept (home and work), always hand-washed with 2 buckets, driven and owned by a 50-something that loves and respects great cars! No track time (wish I did though) and no street races or launches! It is in amazing condition! No dents, no dings, lip spoiler is a 9.5 out of 10. I only use 91 octane. Between the exhaust and the intake, it sounds fantastic! Buy a new one and add all these mods (listed below) or get this one already tastefully (IMO) done and save! As noted below, ALL stock parts come with the car. I’m parting with it because I‘m going BMW (M3) or Mercedes (AMG) next!! Looking for a good home and a cool new owner for this great car! If you’re in the market for an FK8, give this one some thought and thanks for looking! Oh, and I have more pics and will gladly take more specific ones if requested in PMs.

Good luck with the sale, but tbh you're asking for someone to buy a heavily customized car and asking for them to pay for those mods. I think they're pretty tasteful, but at the end of the day they're mods and it's not worth as much as stock.
. Not entirely true. There are many people is Socal that are specifically looking for cars where the work is already done for them. Everyone has different tastes. What I like about Ops car is he has tasteful mods. Op this car is priced well for Socal.

Thanks so much, Volksports. I appreciate the support!! I really do! I happen to be one of those guys that likes to get a car that has a good tasteful start to it yet hasn't been run into the ground - like this car! I thought I'd attract the same kind of buyer here rather than part it out and sell it as stock to the next person. Thanks again, Volksports! All the best to you! Terry

Man, those wheels look perfect on your car!

Not sure about your area but I'd sell all your mods to recover some cost. Especially considering you can get a 2020 for about $1,000 more with all the mid cycle updates from Honda.

Problem with socal and I know especially San Diego adm averages 3-10k over MSRP here. And this just isn't for cars like this but any car that has a following. Especially saw it with classic cars. (Main reason I went out of socal to find them). Even rent and home prices are also in this same mindset.
But yeah from a seller's point here you will recover the most by selling off the parts separate from the car. But from a buyer's perspective and also knowing how much these parts cost I think he's running a pretty good deal. A stock one here in SoCal with his mileage runs about $30k and to $36k.

By the way I did look at local 2020s here in San Diego and they're all asking over 50k right now. I was lucky enough with my history of buying and selling cars to be able to negotiate a couple grand over MSRP last year. I met a guy last week that bought his around the same month as me last year and he paid $49k before TTL.

Normally I would agree here as well, but this is a nicely modded car with nothing really offensive or polarizing done to it. Asking price is definitely in the ballpark of reasonable if there is someone with similar tastes that appreciates the work that has been put in. GLWS, beautiful car.

$49k for a 2019 CTR?! I am sorry but that is ridiculous. That is M2 money! Yes, the CTR is a great vehicle that "fights above its weight," but we as consumers need to be smarter than this. As I have stated prior, get quotes from out of state and use this as leverage to get a better deal from these CA dealerships. I got mine in 2018 for $2k over MSRP, because I waited and had 2 quotes from out-of-state. Ultimately, these dealers want to sell the car.

For real, blows my mind people are paying that. It would be better/cheaper to buy out of state and spend the $1200-1500 on a plane ticket and transport to get one for MSRP.

The dealerships in SoCal have 2020s? I responded to an email from Honda the first of January and was told by my dealership in KC that production didn't start until mid-March 2020 on the type R. I put in my order for a black one as I couldn't find anymore information about the 2020 CTR shipping to any other dealership. Now with the pandemic I have been patiently waiting for the car to ship from the dock. I am beginning to think with the information here, the dealership I use doesn't have the full information or care to ask. The silver lining, I'm not paying $50K.....its MSRP with destination at $37.5K
