I'm really impressed with Honda for offering the Sport trim for the sedan and coupe. I absolutely love that concept-- if I weren't in the market for a dedicated sports car and needed something like a Civic to daily drive, I would absolutely 10 out of 10 times opt for the Civic Sport coupe with the manual. It is unfortunate that you can't get the turbo with the manual in a base Civic anymore (other than the hatch), but the Sport trim is a really great thing to offer and frankly shows that Honda understands that there are enthusiasts who just simply can't afford something more than $20,000 and still want a manual without sacrificing a fun car.

Why call it sport and still have the same amount of hp? Sport trim should have add at least 50hp to consider "sport trim"

Marketing. And the Honda Accord has been doing this for years

Facts, i think at this point Honda meaning of "sport" is just a little bit aggresive looks

Atleast y'all have the base engine as 2.0 , in some parts of the world Civic comes as 1.6L as base NA and in asian countries such as India, 1.8L as standard.

Luckily I bought one 2.0L which had limited stock in lunar silver and ivory interior.
It is a 2019 model and still without a Volume knob, but physical fan speed buttons.

The A pillar is kind of loose in Civics and rattles when on rough road, other than that sound system is a bit disappointing.
Highs are too bright and scream in your ears while playing music.

I agree, the only thing I believe they did was slap a sport badge on it and put the exhaust tip and change the front end a bit. Did they at least add adaptive suspension like the Si? Because if that’s the case then I can call my car a sport to. It has the same engine and a six speed manual. Mine is the 2018 lx manual. It was literally the cheapest model that Honda offered in the civic. But I wanted the 2.0 manual so it was a win win for me. Plus I still think my front end is more aggressive than the sport frond end

I got the sedan sport. Nothing sporty about it and I don't expect it to be. Compare to the lower trim EX, sport offers 18 in wheels, blacked out front bumper with fog light, and for a very personal preferences, leather armrests. Oh and I really enjoy the possibility of downshifting with paddle shift (even though it's CVT) to engine brake while going down the hill. With only $1200 CAD more, it was a no brainer for me to go for the sport. The only thing I didn't like is the HDMI looking exhaust outlet.

It's just marketing guys. If I wanted a "performance sporty" car, civic would not have been on my shopping list to begin with.

I’m totally glad I waited for the 2019 Si. The only thing I wish it had was Honda Sensing (I only really want Adaptive Cruise), but it has, literally, everything else I wanted: turbo, 6MT, LSD, CarPlay, push-button start, subwoofer, killer seats, VOLUME KNOB. Like, dayum! So, trade off Adaptive for EVERYTHING ELSE?! Sure. #SUATMM :drive:

Speaking of the exhaust, does it sound different (better?) compared to other trim levels? Or is it just a looks thing?
