Greetings
I guess now I am an official Honda owner. Just brought home the new Civic. Amazing. Traded in the 2013 Mini Cooper Coupe S. That is the car with only two seats and rear spoiler that deploys. A lot has changed between 2013 and 2019! So not necessarily fair to compare. However....
I will post better pictures when my neighbor is not mowing leaves with the rider and having fun with the leaf blower. I had to get her dirty. And I will post updates as I get a week driving under my belt as I spend two hours a day in the car commuting.

Not the best with reflection but you can see how dark the window tint is here at 35%.

So I went to the dealer. Only or first black Hatch Touring I could find. Well. There were some options already added.

Window Tint 35% by 3M.
Rear Cargo Mat
Wheels Locks
Door Edge Guards

And I added and got the dealer to throw in...
All Weather High Mats
Body Side Molding
No additional warranties. I took none. They love to sell them. Another 2K to cover repairs. I would rather pay as you and not be disappointed when something happens and it is not covered.

They told me due to undercarriage spoiler, runs across front, rear, sides that I could not add mud guards. No deal breaker. At least not Honda ones.

Drives like a dream. The seat heaters in the Mini would burn you. Any choice over the three options too hot. the Civic is perfect. I could leave one light on all the time.

The most controversial issue. The sound system. This car has the sub-woofer as well. Let me preface this by stating I am an audiophile. I mostly listen to Classical Music. The Mini had the Harmon Kardon sound system. What do I think? Well. It is much better. I tested the sound on a number of audio pieces even the Bose CD for checking sound.

So back to stock audio. It is not that bad. Better than anything I have had. No upgrades. No rattles yet. 2019 has better insulation than 2018. Nothing is perfect. I like it better than the Mini. Very impressed. There is no perfect! But I am very impressed.

The Honda Civic any model appears to be great reliable transportation. Affordable too. The Civic line appears to have a place for anyone. All that said, I doubt if someone gave you a more expensive car you would like it more than the Civic. I would take Civic over those luxury sedans. Call me crazy. Just keep the secret that it is a wonderful car. Any model!

Honda has a set of oem mudguards specifically for the hatch, I think they are like 70-80 bucks

I will check them out. I was just glad to grab the car. I can added many options later. So many options after reading this Forum. Waited two months for a 2019 Black Touring. Glad I got it . Thanks!

Welcome! :) I have a 18 Hatchback Sport touring too, assuming the 19 sport hatch doesn't change any shape as the 18, this is the factory mud guard that would fit ;)
Part number: 08P00-TGG-100A

And the audio, I've rooted the head unit, and the third party apps are able to be installed, and I choose to put an equalizer app on and that does improves the sound. But factory setting wise, with that many speakers and even a sub, it's already better than what my other car has, haha

I’ll have to check out the equalizer app that was not a possibility with the Mini. And the mud flaps posted above. Love to see how folks modify or personalize their cars. Such a nice car open to so many opportunities to make it your own.

Congrats on the new ride!

My dealer gave me the same b.s. about the mud guards. I swear, our Georgia dealers just have no clue. These are the Factory Honda guards (Part number: 08P00-TGG-100A) that I ordered from College Hills Honda and installed myself. After shipping, I think it was about $72 and took a whole whopping hour to install. The fronts took about 10 mins; the rear, a bit longer as I worked around drilling into the lower lip as per Honda's instructions.

Congrats! Check out Www.Rallyarmor.com for Mudflaps designed specifically for your sport/sport touring hatchback!

They've just been released about 72 hours ago.

Do you have a gap on the front mud flaps?

Congrats on the car! I wanted a Touring but the moonroof makes the headroom marginal for me.

One question - I find the audio (iPhone music not streaming) sounds better over the USB cable vs Bluetooth, is that true or my imagination?

No, it's a nice tight, flush fit. I can shoot better pics tomorrow if needed.

And a better pic from another Sport's rear flap:

How do you know the insulation is better on the 2019 VS 2018? Is there a reference for this somewhere? I thought there were no changes this year to the hatchbacks

I watched this to learn about the difference. The insulation I recall hearing about that maybe in a video but the dealer told me. I was test driving a white touring. Yeah, be careful what dealers tell you. This video helps.

I also found this, and thanks for asking. I don't want to post anything misleading. I don't know if you test drove a 2018 and compared it to the 2019 you could tell? That would be a hard one to verify. I usually have the radio on so I don't hear road noise. And if you open a window or Moonroof, all the insulation in the world will not help.

What’s New for the 2019 Honda Civic Design?
When 2019 Honda Civic models arrive at Howdy Honda, they will feature an updated interior and exterior style. Exterior updates include a refreshed lower bumper to create a wider front end, blacked-out headlights, a gloss black signature Honda grille and three vibrant color options – Platinum White Pearl, Molten Lava Pearl (Sedan only) and Tonic Yellow Pearl (Coupe only). Interior style upgrades include a refined Display Audio infotainment system for select trim levels, updated dashboard accents, additional sound insulation and a redesigned center console.

Highlights of the updated Honda Civic design include the addition of the Sport trim. Honda Civic Sport grades will fit into the model lineup between the base LX and the EX trim levels and will feature a 158-horsepower 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine paired with a Continuously Variable Transmission. Elements of the Honda Civic Sport that will make it stand out include gloss black exterior trim, 18-inch wheels, a black rear spoiler, Civic Sport badges, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, synthetic leather upholstery, aluminum sport pedals and red interior gauges.

Technology is another attribute of the 2019 Honda Civic that gets an upgrade for the new model year. With the release of the updated Honda Civic, all Sedan and Coupe models will come standard with Honda Sensing® safety technology. When you opt for Civic Sport, EX, EX-L and Touring trim levels, you will gain access to a redesigned 7-inch Display Audio touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ capabilities.
