So I noticed my car has been doing limp mode randomly. I can be in 1st, 2nd or any gear. I can be driving normally going like 10-60 mph and all sudden my car limps. I can press the acceleration but it doesn’t accelerate for a good 3-4 seconds. After a good 3-4 seconds it finally accelerates. About 90% of the drive is fine. But it has been doing this randomly the past few days. I am almost full bolt-on just missing intercooler, charge pipes and upgraded turbo on stock clutch. I am currently on street tune and CAI and turbo inlet. I am on tsp stage 2 currently staying around 30-35 ethanol. My knock control is always around .48-53. I have changed injectors around a year ago. Checked for any vacuum line leaks just yesterday and replaced one that bad a tiny tear. My last spark plug change was probably mid 2022. I just changed my oil this past month. I cannot figure out what is causing it. I would hate it to be a cam shaft starting to fail. The car is at 57k miles. I am the 2nd owner getting it in mid 2021 when it had around 30k miles. I can run some datalogs off Ktuner if needed. I hope it’s nothing major as it is my daily driver. Do I push it a lot? No, only whenever someone wants to do a run or three.

Do a datalog and check for misfires check coolant level and do a compression check

The coolant temperature is good. But I can do a datalog and put it on here for someone who is good at diagnosing the issue.

I ment coolent level to make sure you are not loosing any. How is your battery?
Battery is good and coolant has always been good. I changed the coolant sometime last year as well. I might of pour in too much at first as my heater and ac were opposite when I was messing with the actuator blend door. But I did dump some coolant out. Temperature for coolant has never gone above 195.

Could your engine be detecting Knock ?

KTuner should be able to show and log Knock Count...

That sounds like the K.con (knock control) value which I guess is the more important value anyway. (vs. Knock COUNT)

I am new to this but you can read some good info here…

Yeah my knock control is always anywhere from .48-54. Usually in .48 99% of the time driving as I don’t bang on it unless someone wants to do a run.
