Hey everyone I’m new here. I just picked up my new 2018 Civic Si with the HFP package 2 weeks ago. It’s my first new car so I’m loving it so far. I like the red lip and skirts. The 19s aren’t too bad for Toronto roads.

Can anyone tell me what size winters they are running, the dealer said I could only go as small as 18 because the summers are 19s... I thought I could go as small as 17?

Looks nice! Mind posting some more angles? I have the same car minus the HFP package, and am currently considering whether I want the body kit.

Thanks!

I have the coupe si with full hfp and love it. I had the original dampers for 7k miles. You could barely tell the difference between sport and non-sport with the factory shocks but with the hfp struts you can really tell I love the hfp suspension compared to stock. I also like the way the car looks with hfp kit.

Also I live in Texas so I went with 245/30/19 tires no need for the winter tires here

Drove my Si coupe 18 wheels on Toronto roads not long ago. Worst broken roads I can remember. The car is just too stiff to be driven there. Couldn’t wait to get off of that citys roads and onto smoother and faster suburban ones. The Si is a California canyon car, that’s for sure!

the si certainly looks better with the hfp kit on it. it should have came that way from the factory.

Congrats! I'm going to get an HFP Si Coupe to try out next weekend; looking forward to see how it compares to the Type R and regular Si.
just curious about your user name, are you actually bald?

I will be running 17" Sparco Assetto Gara for the winter. 17x7.5 45mm offset. 17 is the smallest you can run to clear the front brakes.

Yes agreed! Downtown Toronto sucks, by Toronto I should have said the suburbs of Toronto GTA like you mentioned. I have yet to take it downtown and I’ll have to keep my eyes extra open for those cyclists :fear:

And the flooding and potholes...lol:) East, west or north suburbs of Toronto are fine. But Toronto and Scarboro just rattle the hell out of the car and me with my so so back. Your HFP Si, as our regular Sis and type Rs are best suited as far away from concrete jungles and gridlike streets as possible.
Hey man, how’s the grip and comfort level with your Michelin Pilots on your new Si? I’m assuming they’re the pilot 4s? I’m looking to upgrade from the stock Goodyear A/S to a good summer tire soon. And congrats on your new Si! It’s a great car as a first new car

Here’s some pics I took today after washing it. The HFP side skirts are nice but I noticed that when it rains water pools on top of them. Winter time will be interesting. I also added Tuxmats for the front and back, they cover the carpet sidewalls better than weather tech. I did find some on ali express for half the price but I already bought the tuxmats.

Thank you it’s so much nicer than my previous 2012 Jetta. That thing was riddled with gremlins but I managed to get 300k out of it and still sell it for a decent price.

I went for a drive to Forks of the Credit rd the closest canyon type of road I know and it was fun in 2nd and 3rd gears. The sport mode makes the brakes bite much better but any light bumps and you feel it. The tires are really good but I also haven’t pushed the car past 4K rpm, just breaking the engine in and waiting to hit 1200k before I push it past 4K. I saw some articles on google on how to properly break in a new engine so patiently waiting for 1000-1200k

Yup breaking in the motor before letting loose is a must. I also held off high RPMs until I got to somewhere above 1000 k. Currently at 3700 and the car feels really fluid and quick, and shifting is smoother compared to new. I just would like more tire grip
