I brought my R yesterday to get a A 1,2 service. They told me about the fuel pump recall and ordered the part and I came in today. They are currently working on it as I type this. I never had any fuel cut off issues. However I really do not drive to hard in a straight line anymore, Now curves or touge runs my PS4S are screaming in pain.:drive:

Heck I even brought my OEM front rotors and pads and they installed for free.
I do have my Hondata with 91 octane tune on currently Ill see if they bring anything up.
Glad I missed out on the recall. From what I saw anything Manufactured June 12th 2019 or before was effected on the 2019 Type Rs.

Where did you see this?

Mine was built 02/19 and I do not have a recall showing up on their website yet. Is there another way to see if I am impacted?

I went to another site and went to the actual recall info: it listed every model effected and the ranges. I checked my VIN 1st then saw no recall so I started digging. Sorry I don’t remember the link but that is accurate dates all the way back to the 2018s. Call your dealer they should be able to confirm your on recall.

Just called the dealer and they said I do not have a recall. Not that the dealer's word can be taken as law, but idk how much more due diligence I can perform

This is probably what he's talking about.

ah, thanks for digging that up. My car would fall in the second block. “The manufacturing range reflects all possible vehicles that could potentially experience the problem” indicates that all impacted vehicles fall within that range, but not all vehicles within that range are impacted. They built way more than 1,248 vehicles in that time period.

Yeah. I'm also 2/19 and my badge is 24920. Haven't seen anything on Honda Canada though for my VIN, so just playing the waiting game I guess.

I just punched my vin into this site and the recall came up right away. If the recall doesn't show up for your vin I imagine you're good.

I'm from Canada and this most definitely doesn't work for me. Says my VIN is invalid :( Honda.ca showing no recall information found so.. not sure if anyone in Canada has had theirs pop up yet or if they are just behind.

Yeah I posted the link above you as well someone else asked for it prior to you posting it I’ll drop it here again in case someone wants to check it. The recall was on a lot of vehicles the Type R was the smallest line of cars effected obviously from the smaller production.

I was shocked so many cars from the several years of the Honda lineup were effected.

I have a 04/19 build date, and no recall, so I assume that not ALL cars in that range are affected.

My car wasn't listed on that recall but I am damn sure my pump is defective.... lol.

Doesn't matter at this point anyways. There isn't a replacement part out yet from Honda so everyone just has to sit tight and wait.

Honda has the proper parts at dealerships now. I am scheduled for replacement next week.
