Roxy is in need of some new treads. I've replaced the rear axle with brand new Continental ContiProContact 235/40R18 91W (same as OE) and I'm in need of replacing the front axle wheels real soon. I haven't found any threads recommending tires for the original 18" alloy wheels, only aftermarket setups.

What are you guys running? Cost is most important to me and would prefer to keep them all season tires as well.

Generally you should run the same tires all the way around, right?

Generally, yes. But as long as the tires on the same axle are the same ie. my back axle are the same tires and the front axle will be the same tires.

I agree with gtman. The car will probably behave better if it has a coherent setup with 4 of the same tires.

It's definitely an option, but I'm exploring all options right now. First time buying tires so learning how it all goes. I confirmed with the tire shop that as long as the tires on the same axle are the same then you're fine.

If its all seasons i would check out reviews on the General
G-MAX AS-05.
General is now owned by Continental tire and these tires are made in their factory in europe. After reading the reviews on tirerack for a all season thats probably going to be my next choice since it has good dry,wet and snow traction.

Thanks! I’ll check them out.

Definitely not recommended to get different tires as grip and wear could be very different which can affect how your car performs. Not sure how much you would want to spend but the Continental DWS06 are very nice.
