I was wondering if it is possible for me to be getting 10 - 11L/100km with almost all city driving in a 2017 si? Most of my trips are 10-15 minutes in relatively normal traffic and I shift pretty conseratively at 3k. I'll only ever go on the highway once per fill-up which brings it down to 10, otherwise it would be around 11-11.5. The range seems to indicate 438km on a full tank but realistically it's probably around 400km. Is this something to be concerned about or is it to be expected because I drive short trips in the city?

That is definitely not normal,

Mine is normally 6.5-7.0 max with all city driving, and the A/C blasting

goes down to 5.0 on highway

never seen mine go above 7.0 in 4 years, regardless of driving

- dragging brakes or emergency brake
- bad wheel bearing
- under inflated tires

some things to check

Short trips are the worst for fuel economy (and oil) but that seems really bad. Maybe schedule a long trip on the highway to see what kind of fuel economy you get then.

In the meantime, check your tire pressure and engine air intake filter.
