Hello, new to this forum. I bought a 2017 Honda Civic LX Sedan in November of 2017. I don't drive it much but ~once a week in my city and have 7,500 KM on it. The Maintenance Minder A7 popped up to replace my break fluid + oil. Wondering if you think the low KM on the car justifies not replacing the fluid for a little while longer (1 more year?) or just do it? Also, I need to replace oil (which I did about 10 months ago) per the A7 minder.

Also, wondering your thoughts on replacing break fluid + oil not at the dealer - does it matter in your mind?

Really appreciate any thoughts/advice from all you experienced folk. Just don't want to waste $ if not really needed. Thank you.

It's not the mileage, it needs to be changed every three years. Get it done.

Time is a factor for all fluids. Oil can get diluted with gasoline when not driven long distances. And brake fluid can absorb moisture from the air and corrode brake lines.

I would get them done, but it doesn't have to be by the dealer. Just keep the receipts.
