I have the flash pro and a map installed and it still stopped at 130. Wtf.That's the speed governor. It can be turned off with Hondata FlashPro
My 330i was limited to 155 mph. I wouldn't call it a Performance car, BMW is just less of a nanny-carmaker than most. Fully defeatable stability control for example.Every car in the US, except for some exceptions for Performance cars, is electronically limited to 130MPH.
This has been known for years. You could have just found out by asking instead of doing 130 on public roads.
Did you change the max speed setting before uploading your tune?I have the flash pro and a map installed and it still stopped at 130. Wtf.
Nah didn't even know about it. I just picked a map out of the list and uploaded it. Had no idea the car had a limiter, or that there was any way to turn it off.Did you change the max speed setting before uploading your tune?
Note that the Sport / Sport Touring Hatches wear 235/40-18 Continental ContiContact W-rated tires (168 mph / 270 km/h)Manufacturers usually limit the speed to the speed rating of the tires they equip the car with. With H speed rated tires manufacturers will limit speed to 130 mph. With S speed rated tires its 112 mph.

The car is bone stock. But the verdict MT vs CVT is pretty consistent: CVT is slighly faster 0-60 due to a need for a shift on the manual just below 60. But on the 1/4 mile, tyhe MT is a bit faster. No matter what, they both are tremendous cars, but I (or rather my wife, because it's HER car) preferred the fun of the manual. (I drive a 2008 Accord Coupe 5MT)New.
You aren't far away from me, Maybe we should put the MT and CVT head to head sometime
Do you have any performance parts?
I know your post is old as hell but that's not true at all.Every car in the US, except for some exceptions for Performance cars, is electronically limited to 130MPH.
