due to an unforeseen and unfortunate circumstance, I ended up with a 2017 EX Hatchback after having had the 2016 EX-T Sedan for just about a year.

Couple of quick observations in case some of you with 2016 Sedans are curious about the differences. Most of the differences are subtle but noticeable:
1) the steering feel is more direct/connected on the 2017 Hatchback
2) the suspension overall feels better planted - but you do feel bumps a little more
3) the hatchback is a bit noisier on the highway
4) better visibility out the rear and through the rear view mirror
5) brakes feel more grabby/direct on the 2016 which I prefer though the 2017 brakes are easier to modulate
6) the climate control button has noticeable faster reaction time in the 2017 than the 2016 (likely not a hatchback - sedan difference but a model year difference)
7) the hatchback gas mileage is about 2 mpg worse than the sedan in mixed driving
8) the throttle response is slightly better from standstill compared to the 2016/sedan but the turbo lag is still as bad
