We've been told it's coming here. There are a couple 9th gens being brought here but for unknown reasons. All other testing has been abroad. And no 10th Gen hatch prototypes have been spotted here yet. CTR or otherwise.

Hey guys just thought of something- the current Euro TypeR was seen both in out of camouflage testing in Ohio and the desert southwest as I recall- and that was a car that we were told from the beginning was not coming here.
It is usually done for benchmarking. Making sure they are able to go back and forth between new and older models to get the feel they are aiming for.

This spoiler is standard equipment from factory. It will be installed with a top grade civic sold in Thailand and Oceania. Not an Si's or Honda accessory.
The car being spotted here maybe is a all factory top grade, not Si.
Any idea if this will be offered in the U.S.? Sucks if it is not an accessory and this is being spotted on a sedan. I'm assuming then it won't be available on any Civics here in North America since it won't fit on the coupe.

Different body equipment for different markets but on the same model? Why give Asia a spoiler we don't get here? Doesn't make sense.

Coupe and sedan get different type of the spoiler. And yes N.A. Should have it as an Si sedan.

You're saying you think this is an Si sedan prototype? Or the U.S. standard sedan will get this as an optional spoiler?

Not necessarily. Wing might be shared but wheels, suspension, exhaust and body trim might be different. No one really knows for sure at this point. But we can speculate based on historical offerings in each market, combined with current trends.

This was the last iteration of the Sport sedan out of Thailand. Wheels, grill, exhaust, rear bumper and suspension were completely different.

Interesting. Kind of wish they offered a "Sport" sedan trim because I might actually consider it, but reading up on reviews of the last iteration of it, sounds like they nerfed it. No manual for a Sport package essentially?? and $7K over more than the base. Wow. Who would buy that over an Si.

nope. This is not an Si, Thailand never get an Si. I mean this is the highest trim of sedan(not named Si) which sold in Thailand and it's come with spoiler, it's just a common part with the Si.

This 2016 Civic Sedan prototype was spotted in Thailand wearing a trunk spoiler similar in design to the one seen on the Concept Coupe.

We could be looking at either 1) an Si sedan wearing standard model body parts (except its Si spoiler) or 2) sedan testing a third sedan spoiler design.

If it is a third spoiler option for the sedan, it joins the ones already introduced - the Decklid Spoiler and the Wing Spoiler.

Here's the similar looking spoiler on the Coupe Concept.

If you look closely, sadly, I don't think we're getting the single strip taillight. The lumps of the individual "C" lights can be seen under the spoiler.
