I bought this car used, and just recently noticed the trunk lights weren't coming on when opened. I was doing some research and found that a light should also be coming on my dashboard when it's opened, but is not. Are these 2 lights connected to the same fuse? Also I haven't had any luck finding how to access the fuse to test it.

I don't see a fuse that specifically protects that. But it could be in the 'interior lights' circuit.

I'd check to make sure that you have brake lights. The car may have been rear-ended and not repaired correctly.

When you start the car; you should see the trunk light show up in test mode on the cluster. If not; the bulb or something farther up stream is broken. If you see it during startup but not when the trunk is open; I'd be looking at a switch on the trunk jamb or on the hinged area.
