Hi boys and girls, welcome to my build thread for my '20 Civic Si sedan in platinum white pearl.

The Si is my first new car ever and first non-German car in 15-20 years: I had a '05 330i, after a '07 C230 (sold), after a '04 Jetta TDI (sold), after a '98 E320. I knew I liked the 1.5T since I bought my wife a '18 CR-V, but what sold it for me was driving a Si and a '03 BMW Z4 back-to-back... a whole different ballgame, sure, but a no-brainer when the $25k new, reliable, and practical car is at least half as fun, and most of as fast, as James Bond's roadster.

I'm aiming for ~250hp, 0-60 < 6 seconds, and the idea of the car at its full performance potential while still a daily workhorse.

How hard was it to install the wheel caps?
The "right way" is knocking them out from the rear when the wheel is off. I used painter's tape and a thin, flathead screwdriver. The rears pop right out but the fronts took some convincing; the fronts would be very easy to scratch for somebody who has trouble applying a lot of force but delicately.

04814-TGH-A10ZA Outer Set, R Front Seat Belt *R124L* (R-Red)
04818-TGH-A01ZA Outer Set, L Front Seat Belt *R124L* (R-Red)
04824-TGH-A00ZA Outer Set, R Rear Seat Belt *R124L* (R-Red)
04828-TGH-A00ZA Outer Set, L Rear Seat Belt *R124L* (R-Red)

Issue #1 is the parts guys said it didn't look like the 5-door and sedan sets were interchangeable. Issue #2 is the parts contain hazmat which = $$$ to ship. Issue #3 is safetyrestore.com webbing is "OEM grade" but they had no idea if either of their reds were close to the OEM shade.

Wheel update:

Vivid emailed me after the fact the wheels aren't in stock and are special order. I was fine with the delay but not with the total lack of responsiveness from them via email, chat, or phone... amazingly their email did work once I threatened to dispute the charge with Amex.

A member here recommended Evasive, and they were super helpful when I called them, so re-ordered with them. The wheels will be completed in Oct, then shipped from Japan, so best case is Christmastime, worst case should be NC's "first spring" in Feb-Mar.

I'll try to get in the next 27Won FMIC pre-order with the $900 that I suddenly am not spending on Michelin tires.
