Anyone out there with CVT, automatic, 2.0 civic buy a Ktuner?

Has it been worth it? Have you noticed any gains?

Trying to get opinions before I drop the large amount of money for one.

Yay or nay?

You won’t see as much gains as someone using it on a 1.5T or 2.0T, but it still will free up some extra ponies. You’ll need to do some bolt on work as well to help the tune. A catless downpipe, intake, and premium fuel will all assist in making more gains on a NA engine.

From the charts I’ve seen, all the noticeable gains are well into the upper rpm range and for only a few hundred rpms at that. The gains all throughout the power band are low, like 2-4 hp-tq. For the the money the gains really there yet.

Hmmm. That's depressing. Doesn't sound like it's worth my money then.

It’s a lot harder to free up hp on a naturally aspirated engine. IF I were you I would go for handling mods instead to make it sportier and handle bends/turns like a champ. Lower springs/coil overs, front strut bar, CTR front subframe brace, front & rear sway bar (I only did the rears only because for the front the subframe has to be dropped.. it’s a good deal or work), accord endlinks, and most importantly a good set of tires (preferably summer tires if your able to run them), not required but some new wheels will allow you to run a wider tire also

These are good suggestions, thank you.

Imho, it’s not. With what’s available to the 2.0 currently, you would see better performance gains getting better tires and dropping weight from the car.

Note that the CVT on the 2.0 is less robust than the CVT on the 1.5t.
I recommend that you stay away from power mods unless you have the manual transmission.

You can start with lighter wheels like the rpf1. There are companies that make carbon/fiberglass hoods and trunks. You can take a decent amount of weight out starting there without having to gut the car which you may not want to do in the first place.

What I’m saying is, throughout most of the rev range only gains of 2-4 hp have been recorded. In the very upper part of the rev range there are noticeable gains of 15-18 or so but only for such small rpm range. Not really were most cvts will live at.
