Hello, this is my first time changing brake pads and rotors and need to buy all the tools I needed. I made a checklist and can someone help me out if I am missing anything. Thanks!

I assume you have a hydraulic jack, preferably a low-profile one? (And don't forget to put blocks on both sides of the opposite wheel.)

I am about to do mine for the first time on this vehicle, as well. My previous Honda Civic used a Torx bit to remove the caliper (don't remember the size). I hope this one uses the same size.

Also, when you remove the caliper, you need to hang it to prevent putting stress on the brake line. I use a regular wire coat hanger and run it through the spring or anything that will hold it.

Man that sounds expensive af. I guess i take for granted having most of that stuff laying around. Never used brake cleaner, thread locker nor "brake parts lubricant".

Do all X gen Civics come with the electronic parking brake? Might want to check out how to change the pads out in the rear if you haven't already. I hear it's not as simple as pushing the piston back into the caliper for the rears. I've always done my own brake jobs but at 36k+ miles my pads are still pretty beefy.

I watched couple videos on youtube for the 10th gen brake job. The rear is the one that scares me, if I messed up, that's a hole in my wallet.

No, I do not. Can I use the one that came with the car?

Sorry I don't know what this screw/pin bit is called.

Is that bit 25lbf-ft or 80lbf-ft ?
