does it look like the rear fenders will handle 18x9.5 +35 with no modifications?

did you notice any rubbing at +40?

No rubbing. Also there is a lot of space between the wheel and the front calipers. Believe me, I was pushing the car to the limit with this setup. No problems with the Wheel+Tires setup.

gotcha. im asking specifically about rubbing the rear plastic over-fender. do you think 9.5 +35 is safe? the rears cant be rolled so i dont want to risk it, but i need some wheels bad

so heres what i mean, if you look at the rear wheels right now, they should be close to being flush with the fender of the car. with +40 youre saying you dont get any rubbing...

my question is...if you move those rear wheels out another 5mm, do you think it still wont rub?

What I do find interesting you stuck with a 245 tire on the 9.5 rim. When stock is 245 on a 8.5 rim. Any specific reason?

As a general rule of thumb, for track use (not AX), one wants the narrowest tire on the widest rims. 245's are the narrowest tires that fit on 9.5" rims. Note this is a general rule of thumb, so it isn't always true - and often isn't true for street applications, where the measured rim width typically offers the best compromise.

As an aside, depending on the course, the 245/35x18 Z214's might offer faster lap times than the 245/40x18's.

I planned on running 18x9.5 +35 with federal RSR. I am gonna assume this is an ok setup? They would clear the calipers right?
