Hi Everyone,
I really want to get a set of NT03s or RPF1s, I have heard the 8.5 width face is not concave and people who go with an 8.5 generally regret it? However I am worried I'd rub with 9.5s, on coilovers same height as D2 springs.

If you have some 8.5 NT03s or RPF1s I'd love to see them.
If you're D2 spring low and running a 9.5 that doesn't rub and you didn't have to mess with fenders, I'd also love to see. Also tire size.

I purchased the 9.5 NTO3 SBC after seeing several people have no issues running the 9.5 even with a bigger tire.

Just got my car lowered on springs and with a 9.5 NT03. For reference its whiteline springs on stock tires. Wheels specs are 18x9.5+40

Very nice! Big drop difference between Whiteline and D2 for the SI which got me on the fence, hoping more people chime in.

Yeah! So far so good, I'm getting my Michelin Pilot Sport 4S in 255/35/18 mounted on in two weeks, have read that it shouldn't rub on the height i'm lowered at but we'll see. I know if I went with D2, it would rub on hard corners

i had 18x9.5 +40 Nt03+m on my Si for a few years using 255/35 tires. only thing i had to do was bend the front fender tab up and out of the way. rubbing becomes an issue depending on how low you plan on setting your car at. my car is about a finger width between the tire and fender.

coilovers provide the adjustment you need to get your stance perfect. no point in slamming the car as it'll just wear things out quicker.

Hi related question,

At 18 x 9.5 +40 does the rim itself stick out from the fender at all? Pictures seems to be hit and miss, fitmentindustries shows some flush and some WAY out..

In the UK any amount of wheel poke is a no-no and if I roll fenders I'll lose my 2y paint guarentee

If you’re in stock height it will poke 1-2mm. Depending on how much you’re lowered the wheel will tuck in the wheel well due to the natural camber from being lowered. Here’s how much my back wheel tucks on whiteline springs which is a 0.8” of a drop

Thanks for the accurate picture, absolutely gorgeous setup

I didn't twig lowering induces camber, makes complete sense. Gotta stay stock becuase of the 8ft cliff ourside my office they painted like a road hump.

Thanks a lot for the help!
