Here in Hawaii, Safety Inspection will reject, if tire side wall is poking out from car fender when visual check perpendicular from top of fender.

My Hatch + Si spring has Gram Light 57CR 18x8.5+37, mounted with Michelin PS4S in stock size. Tire side wall is in line with fender. No poke. 9 lbs weight saving per corner and very noticeable improvement in handling and acceleration.
I have the same wheels but haven't thrown them on yet can you send a picture of your fitment?

Do you think a 225/45 would be a bit of a stretch on a 18x8.5? Can anyone show your set up on this?

I'd run a 245/40 since it will fit. A 235/40 for a stretch. The 225/45 will work but damn.

Thanks for the reply. I'm seeing some 245/40 set ups and they look kinda balloony. I'm down on Eibach pro kit. Some posters say they getting some rubbing? Rims are 18x8.5 +35s.

I would use 35 tire profile than 40.

Most don't rub with 245/40 on 18x8.5 +35 but at least 1 member said he did. I would agree 245/35. I'm running 255/40r17 +40 on pro kit.

Yeah, those don't look 8.5 +44

Maybe the STI spec wheels (18x9.5 +40)?

The other tires come in next week. Ill post pictures probably then. The wheel spec is 18x8.5 +30. These are actually ESR RF2.

So what I'm hearing is that a 18 x 8.5 +35 wheel with 245/40/r18 tires on eibach pro kit Lowering Springs will fit my 10th gen non si?
