I'm wondering how this will fit on my 2016 ex. Kind of worried cause I haven't seen anyone else with these wheel sizes on my type of car. My bf seems to think it'll work/fit. But i'm worried about how it'll change the drive of the car, rubbing, or any other issues it could cause. I'm a complete noob on everything cars. Rims are already bought & recieved just waiting on the tires to show up.

18x9.5 +22 is VERY aggressive for this platform. With that wheel size and a 245/40 tire, you would rub for sure.

You could potentially try 235/40 or stretch a 225/40 on, but you'd still have to mess with negative camber or fender pulling/rolling if you're lowered at all.

You might have to stretch a 235 I think you’ll rub with 245/40 on that much of an aggressive offset. & it’ll be poking like crazy unless u add a good amount of camber. I say go up on your offset 38 is a good amount to be around for sedans.

Funny I know nothing about cars meanwhile my bf works on them & builds them, I TOLD him those don't sound like they're gonna work without issues. I thought we should've just exchanged and down sized on rim width but he ordered tires "just to see" which was a waste of time & money.
Thanks though for the advice guys, really helps!

No problem. And don't be discouraged by the wheel size. 18x9.5 can fit on these cars, but you'd have to choose an offset between +38 and +45 for that width to fit properly. Fitment is a function of width and offset!

If you want an aggressive fitment that won't rub I'd recommend 18x9.5 +38 and some 255/35 tires
