Hi guys, will 17x8 5x114.3 +35 fit flush on my 2018 touring civic? Will it rub? I'm on eiback sport line springs. Thanks.

Close but not dead flush with fender. What tyre size do you intend to run?

235/40R17, what size rim and tire will give me that flush look?

What about 17x9 38offset with 235/40R17?
235/40R17 will run you >4% speedometer error which is not recommended.

235/45R17 on;

17x8.5 +35 will work better. But as you sit on sportline spring, you will need to get a camber kit to camber back to spec (if have not installed yet).

17x9 +38 can work but will poke out a bit. You can camber back to flush but the camber angle will need to increase.

17x9 +40 will flush and give more stretch/aggressive, it also also give more room to work on camber and don’t need to increase the camber angle much.

@GoldClass said it well. A 17x9+38 is going to poke too much, almost a half inch.

I would choose near your first option 17x8 +35,38,40 with 235/45

If I had to guess, that looks like an 18x9+40 with a light stretch 235/40

There is a little poke, camber, and stretch to fit the rear.

I run a 17x9+40 with 255/40 on si but that isn't apples to apples as si has about half inch more clearance as it comes with an 8" wheel vs your 7"

I personally would go an inch wider, maybe 1.5. I wouldn't run 2" wider, you'll be stretching the same size tire on a wider wheel anyway and have potential fitment issues without camber on pro kit.

just wonder what is your reason behind on 255 40 17 x 9 instead of 245 40 17 x 9?

Funny the guy just replied to me on Instagram, you were very close though, he said he's running 18x8 42offet 235/40 tyres , but he has 15mm spacers and on the same eiback sport linesprings but no camber kit, with the 15mm spacers, what offset/sizes would I need to make it look flush like that but without the spacer?

Each wheel width will list 2 tire sizes that are the "best" match. Each time you go up .5 wider wheel you go up up 10mm tire width as a general rule. So 225 and 235 are the "best" fitment for 8" wheel. 235 or 245 for 8.5", 245 or 255 for 9" ect. A 235 on my 9" would be the most minimal stretch and common when trying to fit a wheel 1.5 or 2" wider than stock. On si the stock wheel 8" with 235. A 9" with 255 is the widest setup you can comfortably run on si. Some people run a 9.5" wheel with a mild stretch 235. I don't prefer that. If we're talking touring we're talking even less.

That 15mm spacer makes more sense when looking at that pic. I almost guessed 8.5 width but the poke seemed too much. With a 8" wide he's half inch less poke then the 9" but adding a 15mm spacer puts it out .630" so it will be have .130" more poke than a 9" with no spacer assuming same offset. 38 vs 42 offset is 4mm or .157" so if runing 18x9+38 would give you .027" more poke than that pic, or virtually the same.

A 18x8+42+15 would be very similar to an 18x9+40. The 9 will poke half inch more than 8, but the offset difference will bring it back .512 so it would be .012 less poke than the picture or virtually identical but with an additional inch inboard which might not fly.
