2017-2019 Honda Civic Sport Hatchback triple tip exhaust install preparation modifications...

So to install a triple tip / type r type exhaust on our civic stated above, the surrounding exhaust trim must bc trimmed slightly...

•how can i remove this trim to cut it?
I have to do it before taking it to the muffler shop.

Please help guys, need help on how to do it, maybe even on the car but I’d prefer to take it off for easy cutting...

Yeah man but the angle plus the exhaust, I’m pretty sure it won’t work. Would really like to take it off either way because I’d probably sand and paint it gloss black after..

Cuts quite easily. I used a sawza and filed edges.

Just got the triple tips done. I was able to trim the plastic with a dremel very easily. What i did was make a line by drilling a bunch of tiny holes with a dremel, then i got a utility knife and cut it out, just by connecting the holes.. then i filed/ sanded it down smooth with a dremel.. i wanted the triple exhaust because i wanted to do a muffler bypass valve.. here it is!

On ebay, here is what you need, i recommend you to buy the valve with the wiring together. I bought mine separate, had to mess with it to make it work. Some come with remotes, the one i bought is with a switch, i prefer a manual switch so i can mount it on the dash.

No problem, just got the resonator delete, here’s a video, it might be a little louder with a pure muffler delete instead of the valve.. the valve is open in the video, i haven’t wired it up, left it open for now.
