Didn’t Acura announce the ILX Type S concept last year? It would make sense that a proto is roaming around for testing about now. It wouldn’t be weird for Acura to bring in a hatch in the segment. With more emphasis on bigger cars and SUVs, hatches sometimes fill the spot for the sporty utilitarian.

They announced the TLX Type S concept car, which is due to be fully revealed on the 28th. But I don't remember hearing anything about an ILX Type S officially from Acura/Honda.

Acura did announce that there were two Type S vehicles coming. The TLX was the first and we do know there is another sedan to be announced soon.

-Accord R? Why? The 10G only has 2 more MYs.
-Civic? These pix were taken in Europe, and the Civic's Wordwide Lead Plant is HCM1 in Alliston ON, Canada.

It's a hatchback due to the rear wiper. Accord hatch Type R would be sweet! But I think it's a Civic.

Being a salesman at a Honda dealership, if you want an AWD Honda not counting a SUV, you need to purchase an acura... ILX = Civic AWD TLX = Accord AWD
I also know we will see a Hybrid variant of every vehicle eventually, the Insight is the Civic Hybrid...

If that is a differential in that picture, than this is not a US Honda but a US Acura...

I was thinking the same until they released the TLX and the infotainment screen system doesn't match, the steering wheel does look similar though

personally, it looks more like the upcoming 2021 Acura TLX.
