Just a scooch of advice: research the tires.

My Hatch EX came with Conti Procontacts; I think I could have gotten them swapped for Conti Extremecontact DWS 06s as part of the purchase for a couple hundred bucks (the dealers stock both tires). That's a great tire for the PNW.

:)

Can you break that down?
I ended up not getting the rims at that time, but I did reorder them a few days later and he honored the quote on them. Also the taxes ended up being like 100 bucks less.

depends on if that's out-the-door or before fees and taxes.

It is out the door for a blue SI Sedan...breakdown is below:

Price: $23,377
Tax: $1,461
Rest (Doc Fees): $385
that's not bad at all. i would take that offer. make sure the destination fee is included in the price before they hit you with it afterward. even still, it's a fair price.

sure thing. if you look at the screenshot i posted, it tells you what i paid for mine. the only thing that was different, was that i paid for the rims on a separate transaction, and the taxes came out to about $1700. other than that, the rest is pretty normal on top of MSRP. like i said, i paid $26k out-the-door.

Do Honda dealers pull this? Add destination back into the price? Ford dealers are famous for doing this. Especially in the N. Virginia/Maryland/DC area. Drives me nuts as MSRP "includes" destination of $8XX depending on manufacturer. I just received an Si quote for $24,775. That's MSRP but I assume it includes destination. On the flip side, I just received an EX-T manual quote for $18,514. I'm sure that doesn't include it. Which is quite lame.

Just more dealer games I guess.

any dealership that doesn't have you pay the destination fee ends up eating that money. i've never been to a dealership or bought a car where they didn't make the customer pay the destination fee. in fact, if you go build a car on a manufacturer's website and look at the build summary, it will tell you the destination fee as well. whether the msrp includes that fee or not, it's very likely that the dealer will have you pay it anyway, otherwise, that delivery cost gets consumed by the profit, which could typically be an $800-$1000 loss, to which they would try to charge you that much more to make up for that loss, which then will also be attempted to negotiated out by the customer.
