Would've only been 1/8 unprepped so I wouldn't be setting any records but BOTH the past 2 times my local place got rained out. I need to get to a track one of these days before they call it for the year.

It's been too quiet here Matt. U need to start stirring up some trouble. :)
I'm more into "fix-the-car" mode right now than racing though... This last weekend I hit a big rock in the road coming around a corner in the mountains.

I guess, we'll start! :)

First hit was 13.3 at 108 MPH and a 2.1 60ft.

Our best run of the night was a 13.1435 at 108.77 MPH with a 2.0 60ft on stock all season tires.

Power: 280 whp and 330+ tq on e30.
Mods: PRL catless downpipe and front pipe combo PRL CAI PRL FMIC @KTuner ClutchMasters FX400 clutch D2 Springs Tuned by Denis Howell at PRL Motorsports and @VitViper at Vit Tuned
Track: Keystone Raceway Park
Elevation: 1200 feet

Stock exhaust, stock turbo, stock engine.



In my obsession with PRL's 1/4 mile times in the beginning of this thread (On street tires), I am getting closer to achieving their numbers on pump gas (No E30). Gotta beat that 13.3 before the 13.1 though. Their 60ft times are excellent. Grrrrrr! :banghead: Here's a side-by-side comparison between their 13.3 run and my latest 13.4 run. 60ft time, 330ft, 1/8th mile time and traps are fairly close. No doubt they were making more power on E30. You can see it in their trap speed. I don't have any E30. So....working on mad scientist tweaks to eek out those 1/10ths of a second. :hmm: It's all in good fun.

Myx, you do realize how damn impressive 13.4@105 mph is, right? To put that in perspective, Car and Driver got a best of 15.4@93 mph in a CVT Sport Touring hatch they tested. A full two seconds faster in the 1/4 mile is tremendous.

Myx, you do realize how damn impressive 13.4@105 mph is, right? To put that in perspective, Car and Driver got a best of 15.4@93 mph in a CVT Sport Touring hatch they tested. A full two seconds faster in the 1/4 mile is tremendous.
I never thought about it since I never got to test it stock due to the weather and my impatience to mod. :oops: Thanks for putting this into perspective.

For comparison, Car and Driver did 13.8 @102 mph in their 1/4 mile test of a 2018 WRX STi.

Grrrrr! Nice cold night. Everything was coming together except my 60ft time. The car is definitely making more power. Still working on how to lay it down in that first 60ft. It's been a little difficult but I'll get it. The trap speed is looking good though. Time to change my sig again.

You know what? For as much grief as people give the CVT for being a shit driving experience, they can lay the power down efficiently. There's a reason F1 banned them. ;)
Wow, didn't know that. If the is too good for F1, it can't that bad for the rest of us. I'm thinking of trading in my manual Civic for a CVT Fit so the rest of the family can drive it (I'm the only manual driver in the fam). But I don't want a shitbox that's dull and without personality. Maybe I can jazz it up (wheels/tires, sway bar, window-weld rmm, gold wrap intake, etc) and make it a little more fun. We'll see how it goes. It may happen as soon as this week. If not, next couple of years.

Nah the pure450 is the biggest turbo going under the hood of this thing. I'm hoping that gets me to the 12s but I imagine I also need to be fbo+clutch for that to happen and I'm not close to that yet.

Being separated with kids though puts me alone with the 2 rugrats every weekend so I don't know when I'm going racing next lol. Let's see 18-2 is... So 16 years I'll go racing again!
