May be a weird place to start this topic but right off does anyone know what controls a 10spd a/t trans? Is it a separate pcm from the ecm on the accord Rdx? Long story short I’m looking at bolting up an awd 10spd a/t from an rdx to a k20c1 dropout. I know it’s a lot of work I’m just looking at facts for the trans on getting it to work with the c1 engine computer

Got the info I needed on this tonight. Looks like using the oem ecu and tcm would have to be used from the Rdx if trying to stay on oem ecu/hondata. The only fox for that would be motec as of now. We have already tried to bolt up a kseries crv awd trans up to the k20c1 but no bueno. The starter location being on the back of the c1 is getting in the way of the crv axle/differntial area even with an adapter plate. I’m going to keep researching on this. We have no problem trying to use the 10spd a/t but will keep looking into a manual trans option as well. If anything works out this may be designed around a swap car like a 96-00 civic but with the fk8 on the lift if we can get a trans to work we should be able to do an awd setup on it as well at some point. May be years from now since this is such a new platform but we will see how it goes

I think Honda should put the 10AT in a version of the CTR.
I have a CTR and an Accord with the 10 speed.
With the Accord in Sport mode, using the paddle shifters is quite entertaining. Plus, you can cruise on the highway at 80 MPH, in 10th gear, at 1900 RPM if you want.
In the CTR this transmission would need a little tweaking. The shifts would need to speed up. They're not bad now, but CTR drivers would likely want the shifts to happen 'right now'.
The 10 speed gearing is very wide. 1st and 2nd are very low. You can spin the tires in both those gears. (The tires are all-season. Not especially grippy. No LSD, either.) 9th and 10th are highway cruising gears. If you let it shift for itself, it won't use 10th in Sport mode. You can do it with the paddles.
For those interested in 0-60 times, I'll bet this transmission would beat the 6 speed.
It would be interesting to see.

I do see Dream automotive has the 6 speed sequential transmission available for the CTR, but haven't see people add AT to CTR yet.
Automatic now definitely faster than manual, but the R is manual for ages and honda is proud to keep that heritage until converted to full electric.

Would just wait for the 2023 reveal that might be coming with a dual clutch transmission option. Then you could just get that transmission + engine and put in whatever you want. Good luck!
