We'll have to see how much that swap is going to cost. At the moment it's probably over $10k.
Consider R's are bending rods at the 400 tq range, If you going to swap an R, you are going to want to build the internals too. Its not going to be a cheap swap at all.

Its been going on for a bit. Caught a few on Instagram and heard about a couple others on facebook.

Man. I thought that the K20 in the R came with forged rods and pistons? Weird that people can turbo the older NA K20's, but a K20 built for a decent sized factory turbo is bending rods.

Yep... I think even a Certain Tuner that had one tossed a rod in his Type-R that he use to have :hmm:

There is also a certain well know "piston" company that bent some rods....a few race teams too.
they dont make full boost at 2500rpm with 350-400wtq
Exactly, the amount of tq down low these cars make. And people don't realize, if you put 400 lb ft on a k20Z3 you are going to bend those rods too. Sure they can make 500 hp stock, but they aint putting that tq on it down low either
