From the looks of it there will need to be pistons and rods made for these cars, possibly bearings as well. Proper head studs and valve train will most likely need made as well for long blocks. These components should be compatible with both the Si and non-Si 1.5T's. We are going to be doing some R parts and components soon as well!

See any difference in the Si head when compared to the 1.5t? Is the lower CR related to the larger piston dish? Not sure if you guys have already pulled apart the ex-t but it be great to see the differences compared to the si.

What would the typical cost of an upgrade like this be? Looking forward to making big power without messing up the engine.

Any updates on this? I know on Facebook there is recent mention or a possible turbo upgrade / fuel upgrade system in the works, are both being developed still or is one project more or less on the back-burner?

There will be updates guys, give them time, I know it sucks to play the waiting game. They are developing lots of goodies as well as this motor build. They work on several other platforms also not just ours.

To be fair, don't they usually rebuild race engines after every race? Longevity is not really their primary concern.

Wow. I wonder the boost pressure and rpm required for this insane amount of power from 1.5L.
I'm thinking around 4 bars of boost for about 500 lb-ft of torque. Then just maintain that to about 15,000rpm and you get about 1,500HP.
Lag must have been "significant" as the turbo must be enormous to supply that much air volume at that pressure.
