Yup, hell with my 8th gen I got 49.6mpg for 200 miles by going 65mph and drafting about 60% of the time off a big rig.If it's pure highway under 70 MPH on highways with enough traffic to draft? Easy to do with self-control.
very easy to get with steady, non-city driving. I'm averaging low 50s mpg on my commutesNot that hard to believe. I regularly get 45-46mpg with cruise control on at 70mph on my 60 mile drive to see my in-laws.
On a 50mph back country road, I can hit 50mpg easy.
I've been getting 43 MPG or so in my 2017 ST Hatch with CVT. If I was all hwy mile, I bet I'd be up around 50.To be honest, it's hard not to be skeptical of this. I'm not saying it didn't happen, but it's hard to believe.
Jesus christ!I average about 41-42 right now with my current driving. Routinely drops to 33-35 during winter.
For what it's worth, my commute is 50/50 highway and low-traffic driving. Maybe half a dozen lights along the way.Jesus christ!
My old car went from like 23 highway to 21 highway in the winter. 41 to 33 is a huge drop.
