Reached-out to my local Honda Service Center about the “Emissions System Problem” Engine light turning on that day. I was concerned about the “Engine System Problem” stating to keep my car “away from flammable objects”.. (Google was reassuring— made it sound like it was most likely a glitch, or bad sensor.. But the “stay away from flammable objects” ()..and the way my car was driving)
..Along with that, i was also in need of another oil change- the “oil life” % meter being strange. And that my car was still only getting 14MPG.
She said a service specialist was going to reach out to me about my concerns. I asked, when should i be expecting to hear from them (later today? Tomorrow morning? Tomorrow afternoon?)
She said, as soon as one is available.
I never heard back from anyone (besides about trade-in’s). Sunday evening, i made an appointment online, for Monday.

They gave me an oil change. Told me i’d have to pay again for diagnostics/for them to investigate. Once again, I said, okay. And to please tell me if there is any other suggested maintenance that may be needed.
A few hours later, Service Advisor said they “couldn't find anything physically wrong with my car”, again. They didnt see any codes for the engine lights/warnings. “No leaks anywhere. Nothings leaking.” The service advisor suggested an engine and transmission flush might help improve my gas mileage. So, i agreed, and asked him if there was anything else possible to help? Or anything else they may think i need? Nope.
I asked the service advisor about what were my oil levels, and if there was any oil dilution? He was kind of hesitant. He said, those specific tests they don’t really do— and there really isnt any need to. But, the good news is, theres nothing wrong with my car. & they just really can’t find a single thing, &/or reasons behind my complaints. But, hopefully after the flush, my car should start to improve. $689.87
