  1. OEM or "High Torque" CVT Fluid

I'm wondering if I should change my CVT fluid with the OEM Honda HCF-2 fluid or if I should use some of the fluid that is advertised for better longevity and performance with higher torque CVT's. I currently have a 2021 Civic EX making around 250 torque which apparently is the edge of safe...
  2. Torque Steer Discussion

Hello friends, I recently got ahold of a type R, and this discussion of torque steer has been on my mind. It's been said that deviating from OEM wheel and tire size will facilitate torque steer since Honda Engineers designed the set up to eliminate/almost eliminate torque steer. I see everyone...
  3. HONDATA FLASHPRO FOR SALE $500

  4. Trying to determine HP/TQ specs

I'm trying to determine where I'm at HP and TQ wise and don't really have the time or money for a dyno test. Looking for somebody with a similar set up or experience with a similar set up that could give me a rough estimate on where I'm at. I usually run 91 octane but will occasionally mix 2-3...
  5. Will I get torque steer changing wheel size?

Hi, I’m thinking of changing my wheel size from the standard 20” x 8.5” ET60 to 19” x 9” ET43. Will this give me any torque steer or should it be okay? I know people are running 18” x 9.5” but personally the 18s are too small for me. Thanks, Brandon
  6. Wheel Bearing

Hey guys, I have a 2017 si that makes a thumping noise at lower speeds and turns to more of a whirring noise at highway speeds. I jacked up the car and dont have any play on the wheels and they spin fine - it only seems to act up under load. I am suspecting it may be a wheel bearing. Since I am...
  7. Brake Input PID Needed for Software

I'm trying to get RaceChrono & Torque Pro set up for my next HPDE & I can't figure out how to record the Brake input. In addition, no active PID's come up with Torque Scan. I thought I read a post several months ago where someone figured it out but I can't find it. Does anyone have the...
  8. Clutch Slippage questions

So I've read a lot about the new 10th gen Si clutch not being so great and i just wanted a bit of clarification from my own experiences. I've tested driving at like 3-4k rpms in first gear and I have stomped on the gas and the result is me having wheel slippage at around 20mph. Now this is where...
  9. Supported PIDs

Hey, everyone. I am doing a Raspberry Pi Instrument Cluster project and was wonder information was available through OBD. Here is a dump of the the ECU says is available. This dump was generated off of a 2017 Civic Sedan EX-T. I plan compare these values to what my own Hatchback Sport Touring...

  11. Available PIDs on 10th Gens?

Thanks to the help I received I am running OBD2AA to display Torque PIDs on the head unit. Without adding every PID under the sun and going through trial and error, does anyone know which PIDs are actually available for our cars, specifically Type R in my case? So far I know I cannot read...

  14. Why is stock 2" exhaust not a restriction

These cars are making a lot of horsepower through our stock exhausts. Why? It goes against everything I have been reading, especially on a turbocharged car, up to this point. I can see now that it is accepted here since PRL's dyno test but why isn't it a restriction? 2" ?wtf? :dunno...
  15. Android Torque Pro

Any Torque Pro users in here? I know there are a lot of parameters you can monitor with OBD2. I usually do a LOT of 1/4 mile runs while recording them and looking at the data to take notes and make changes where I can. I've have been using this for years but for some reason, certain sensors...
  16. 174hp @ 6000rpm but dynos show different

Why is it that most of the dyno's that are posted show peak horsepower in the range of 5200-5800rpm but in stock form, peak horsepower is at 6000rpm? I understand the addition of aftermarket cams can move the powerband around. Otherwise, this just seems weird to me.
  17. 2017 Honda Civic Type R Lug Nut Torque Spec?

Hey guys, Brand new here. Sorry if there is already something on this or it is common sense among owners. I have read all through my owners manual and even done some decent online research to figure out what the recommended lug nut torque rating is for the CTR. I could not find anything...
  18. Recalibrate Steering Torque Sensor

Does anyone have any idea on how to reset the steering torque sensor on the 16 Civic? Trying to rule out any actual mechanical problems with my car as the steering pressure feels uneven between turning left and turning right.
  19. Lug nut Torque

Hey everyone! I don't know if this was posted anywhere yet and I was not able to find it in the manual that came with my civic. But would anyone happen to know what the lug nut torque would be for this? I have the Canadian EX-T. Would it be the standard 80 ft/lbs as previous civics? Any...
