interior trim

I kinda want to venture into trying to vinyl wrap my trim, but the stuff in the EX-T coupe is textured/bumpy- unlike the smooth trim in the sport package (carbon fiber look). Has anyone wrapped this themselves on the rough trim? How did it work out with the texture underneath? Recommended DIY...
